Food - Fad Or Fear?
Several recent food scandals have made consumers increasingly cautious about what they eat. And public health services are constantly hammering home the message, “Eat well to stay healthy.” So should we be afraid of what we eat? Should we follow the growing trend to eat “free” – fat-free, sugar-free, salt-free, gluten-free? Are the products used in organic, raw, vegan or gluten-free diets really good for us? This report looks at the thin line between a healthy diet and the extreme behaviour encouraged by certain online activists that can have a disastrous effect on fragile psyches.
