Slave Workers In Geneva
This report denounces human trafficking and forced labor in one of the world’s richest capitals: Geneva. Undocumented migrants from Ukraine, Britain, Poland or Macedonia working on building sites or in cleaning companies sometimes earn as little as 20 cents an hour. These hungry, exhausted slave workers beaten by unscrupulous bosses, live in terror of being sent back to their home country. Following the work of the police and the associations that encourage victims to file complaints over human trafficking and unpaid wages, this report gathers the testimonies of men and women who have been through hell. This is a gruesome portrait of modern-day slavery.
