Raising Tyrants: Breaking The Silence Of Child-To-Parent Abuse

Watch Video
PDF

Screams, scratches, bites, blows, death threats. The phenomenon of child-to-parent abuse, labeled as 'tyrant children,' is gaining ground and causing domestic violence consultations to go through the roof. Who are these minors who humiliate, insult, and strike their parents? They've turned the tables on family hierarchy and seized control at home, ruling with an iron fist. These issues, largely swept under the rug, remain poorly diagnosed. Occupational therapists, child psychiatrists, neuro-pedagogues, and systemic therapists shed light on these complex disorders. Alice, Christine, Samantha, Luc and Roxane are all victim parents. They have agreed to speak out about the domestic hell they've been through.
