LGBT Parenting, A Child At All Cost

PDF
Gestational surrogacy allows LGBT couples to become parents. Only a few couples are willing to set out and go on the adventure. The phenomenon is statistically marginal. It remains nonetheless important socially, culturally and symbolically, as it completely upsets the image of the family. But how can a boy or a girl build their lives between two moms or two dads? What questions do same-sex couples ask themselves before embarking on the adventure? How do their relatives react to the arrival of these unexpected children? Same-sex parents and their children tell us about their normal family life. Others, like Patrick and Jerome, decide to go a step further and fly to the U.S. to meet their children's surrogate mother...
