As more countries are rushing to prepare the commercial launch of 5G, the unchartered territory for 5G mobile networks has become a concern for a growing proportion of the population. However, 5G waves are not that different from 3G, 4G, Bluetooth or WiFi waves. The issue is less their power than their pervasiveness. With 5G, nearly 200 billion connected objects around the world are about to continuously receive and exchange data, close to our body and brain. We now know that an active phone can strongly disrupt bees' behaviour. Increased electromagnetic pollution could thus encourage them to swarm at different seasons than spring, the only viable period for their reproduction…
